Possible opportunity for separate part-time roles

Salary: Main Scale M3 - 6, not suitable for an ECT.

Contract type: Full Time, Fixed Term until end of maternity leave.

However, this could be a part-time SENDCo role (1.5days) and part-time Class teacher role (3.5days).

All Saints' CE Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and compassionate SENDCo to join our team on a maternity cover basis from November 2026. This is a fixed term contract that ends when the maternity leave ends.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented teacher and leader who is passionate about ensuring that every child receives the support, encouragement and opportunities they need to flourish. We are looking for someone who will continue to build upon our inclusive culture and drive high-quality provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school.
  • Monitor the progress and attainment of pupils with SEND.
  • Support staff in delivering high-quality adaptive teaching.
  • Work closely with parents, carers and external agencies.
  • Coordinate Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes and annual reviews.
  • Ensure SEND records and systems are maintained effectively.
  • Provide advice, support and training for colleagues.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and the wider strategic development of the school.
  • Promote inclusion and champion the needs of vulnerable learners.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with successful classroom experience.
  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination.
  • Has a sound understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND legislation.
  • Is an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Has experience of supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.
  • Can work collaboratively with staff, families and external professionals.
  • Demonstrates strong organisational and leadership skills.
  • Is committed to ensuring every child can thrive and succeed.
