Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - EYFS/KS1

Band 8 - £30,060 to £32,364 (This is the Full Time Equivalent) – Dependent on experience

Hours: 30 hours per week, start and finish times to be agreed.  

Starting Date: September 2025

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly, inclusive and outward facing setting.

The HLTA will:

  • Adhere to the school’s ethos and  values system (GROW)

  • Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of all pupils

  • Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion

  • Give support to pupils, individually or in groups

  • Teach classes on a regular basis

Safeguarding

  • Work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance (e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education, Prevent) and our safeguarding and child protection policies

  • Promote the safeguarding of all pupils in the school

The HLTA will be required to follow school policies and the staff code of conduct.

The post holder may be required to do other duties appropriate to the level of the role, as directed by the headteacher or line manager.
