Idle CE(A) Primary School is a two-form entry primary school, situated in beautiful surroundings on the fringe of the city of Bradford. We are a Church school at the centre of our community and have a reputation for providing an all-round education where children are at the heart of everything we do, rooted in our Christian vision of “life in all its fullness” that Jesus came to give (John 10:10). 

The Governing Body of Idle C of E Primary School is welcoming applications for a highly motivated School Business Manager in our inclusive and friendly school. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing school finances, HR and facilities management, line managing non-teaching support staff and ensuring the smooth-running of the administrative functions of the school, working as part of the Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Are skilled at developing and maintaining positive relationships with children, staff, governors and the wider community
  • Have strong, proven organisational skills and the relevant experience to lead and manage the school office, finance administration and site management
  • Are dynamic, creative and proactive, modelling outstanding practice
  • Are committed to achieving success through partnership and team work
  • Able to work on their own initiative, being reflective and solution-focused
  • Are professional and works as part of the Senior Leadership Team to assist the Headteacher to ensure the school meets its educational aims
  • Promote the highest standards of business ethos within the administrative functions of the school and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources to achieve best value for money
  • Are familiar with School Funding systems and reporting as used by Bradford Council
  • Are keen to further their skills by accessing training and CPD
