Band 5 (Point 4-6) – 37 hours per week TTO plus 5 days

(Actual Salary £19,878 to £20,547)

Hours: Monday to Thursday - 8.00am till 4:00pm

Friday 8:00am till 3:30pm

Term Time Only plus 5 Training Days (these will be a mixture of twilights and full days)

High Park is a successful, special school for children and young people aged 3–19.  We pride ourselves on providing a safe and dynamic learning environment for pupils who have complex needs arising from communication and interaction difficulties, autism and severe learning needs.

We are looking to recruit a full-time Administrative Assistant (Pastoral).  We require a skilled person who is enthusiastic, willing to learn and who has a genuine interest in working with and supporting our children, young adults and their families. ‘Learning for Life’ defines the ethos and values of High Park as a school for pupils with Communication and Interaction difficulties. We have a unique place in the education system in Bradford and in providing an all- age resource for those who need our structures and approaches to learning.

The successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Excellent personal communication skills.
  • A good command of the English language both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of office procedures.
  • The ability to work successfully as part of a team.
  • Be flexible and use their own initiative when required.
  • Be well organised, prioritise workload, have a keen eye for detail and be able to work with accuracy and to meet strict deadlines.
  • Be numerate and literate, holding qualifications in English and Maths (GCSE A-C or equivalent).
  • Have appropriate ICT/Word processing skills including school systems.
  • Willing to undertake all required professional development opportunities.
  • Experience of working in a school office and knowledge of school systems is desirable but not essential.
