Vacancy Information

‘CAT employs rolling recruitment methodologies, with shortlisting and interviews for some roles taking place as and when applications are received. This may mean that some roles are recruited before the closing date, and therefore advise that applications are made without undue delay’

Marshfield has undergone rapid improvement over recent years to become one of the country’s highest performing primary schools, ranking 22nd out of nearly 21000 schools in the 2019 KS2 SATS. This has led the school to be featured in the Sunday Times Parent Power lists and is one of the very small number of primary schools to be awarded World Class School Status by the World Class Schools Quality Mark.

The school has just over 470 students and is situated in a vibrant community serving a diverse demographic of children close to the centre of Bradford. Marshfield utilises a bespoke curriculum designed to create an enquiry-based approach to learning, with inspiring and culturally relevant teaching sequences led by teachers who are passionate in providing an outstanding primary education.

Marshfield is a ‘Nurturing School’, being the first primary school within the city to achieve this national award, in recognition of our continued emphasis on supporting the well-being and mental health of all staff, students, and families.

We are looking to appoint a professional and dedicated Cook to join our catering team.

Duties include:

  • Food preparation and serving.
  • Working within DfE guidelines regarding current health safety and hygiene legislation and the school’s Health and Safety policy.
  • Providing high standards of customer care and good quality service.

The successful candidate should have:

  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 1 or equivalent qualification in catering.
  • Previous experience of providing catering in a school or similar environment.
  • Level 1 Food Hygiene Certificate.
