Vacancy Information

The postholder will join the Bradford Children’s Services School Standards and Performance Team, working across the district advising and supporting our schools in their early years practice. The team work with Local Authority schools as well as MATs and other providers. As Early Years Officer you will be an advocate for our young children providing specialist knowledge and expertise particularly about their learning and development.

The role requires practical understanding of effective early years practice and leadership in order to provide guidance and challenge to a range of early years providers. By working with partners and stakeholders you will help to ensure that the children have the best start in life, are school ready and by the end of the Early Years Foundation Stage are well prepared for the next stage of their education.

The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate.  Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.
