Vacancy Summary

Our children are seeking an outstanding teacher who can lead SEND provision across school. The role would suit an ambitious teacher who is looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to develop professionally.

Vacancy Information

You will be experienced and knowledgeable in delivering outstanding SEND support and have the skills, enthusiasm and commitment to support and develop other teachers across the school. In terms of specific areas of responsibility, you will be demonstrating, sharing and leading best practice in teaching and learning of SEND children to improve pupils' engagement, understanding and progress. You will be taking the lead on staff development for teachers and support staff in this key area across the whole school and will be a key member of the Leadership Team.

We are committed to ensuring all our children are nurtured and empowered to succeed in life. This vision has led us to developing The Nest nurture room provision in a designated building in school. As SENCo you will lead and develop this provision each morning alongside two support staff. You will then have afternoons to undertake your SENCo role. There is no whole class responsibility.

The school has just completed its first year as a valued member of Beckfoot Trust and we are able to offer you support from both within school and from the Trust to enable you to develop your leadership.  Beckfoot Trust schools work in partnership with a shared ambition to provide outstanding education for our students. We want our students to love learning and be well placed to do something great with their lives.  We aim to create remarkable learning environments in which students expect success because of their ambitious attitude to learning, the challenge provided by staff and the support they receive at home.  High quality professional development and leadership training for staff are central features of our Trust. We aim to attract, develop and retain the very best people and to be the ‘employer of choice’.
