Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Contractual:
Full Time, Term time plus one week
32 1⁄2 hours per week, Monday to Friday. (Start/Finish times will be directed by the Academy to meet the needs of the children).
Must be able to work at both BD3 and BD7 site (as required and directed by the Academy)
Remuneration package:
Real Living Wage to SCP NJC6
Actual commencing salary: £19,604pa (based on 32 1⁄2 hours per week, term time plus one week).
Are you a dedicated and experienced educator passionate about making a difference in the lives of Children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Co-op Academy Delius is a high achieving, friendly academy for pupils from 2-11 years with a range of complex educational and medical needs, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team, where you'll play a pivotal role in our SEN educational provision.
As a Specialist Teaching Assistant within our Enhanced Pathway Provision at Co-op Academy Delius, you will deliver bespoke, specialist education tailored to meet the evolving needs of SEN pupils, including those with complex requirements. You will develop and implement personalised learning to support each pupil’s unique needs and abilities. Use innovative teaching methods and resources to engage and inspire young learners. Collaborate with external agencies and our wider inclusion team to ensure holistic support for pupil’s development. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes confidence and growth.

This role is customer facing and therefore in line with the Immigration Act 2016; all applicants must be able to demonstrate fluency of the English Language to the level defined in the Job Description. Candidates invited to our recruitment day will be expected to complete several tasks; be observed in the classroom and be interviewed, in order to recruit staff of the highest professional quality.

Co-op Academy Delius has two sites (Barkerend Road, Bradford BD3 and Great Hoton, Bradford BD7), both just 10 minutes from Bradford centre with places for 212 students and 133 staff. All applicants must be willing to work at either of our Delius sites, BD3 and BD7 and will have an initial induction period.
