Hours: 27.5 hours per week, term time only

Contract: Fixed term, initially for 12 months

We are looking for a warm, caring and proactive Pastoral and Family Support Officer to join our school community. 

Vacancy Information

This rewarding role will focus on building positive relationships with pupils and their families, helping children to overcome barriers to attendance, engagement and wellbeing, and ensuring that every pupil has the opportunity to thrive.

Working closely with school staff, families and external professionals, you will provide individual and small-group pastoral and wellbeing support, help pupils develop resilience and positive relationships, and support families who may benefit from additional or Early Help support.

We are looking for someone who communicates well, builds trusting relationships with children and adults, and has a genuine interest in children’s emotional wellbeing. 

You will need relevant experience of working with children and a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience. Full training will be provided, including the opportunity to work towards ELSA accreditation.

• Focus: Supporting pupils and families with attendance, engagement, emotional wellbeing, nurture, Early Help and access to enrichment opportunities.
• Training: Full training will be provided, including ELSA training when a place becomes available.
• Essential: Level 3 qualification and experience working with children, or equivalent experience.
