We are looking to appoint a talented maths teacher who has the ability to guide and inspire others through their own maths teaching. The successful candidate will join our management team and contribute to driving whole school improvement. As recognised in our recent Ofsted inspection, ‘Leaders demonstrate integrity, professionalism and a clear commitment to improving outcomes for pupils within a complex community context’ (Ofsted, May 2026) so it is important that our new maths leader has the personal attributes and drive to further enhance this team.  

We have high expectations of what our pupils can achieve and the development of pupils’ personal development are central to the school’s work. 

The successful candidate will need to:

• Be an exemplary teacher who can support and inspire others
• Have the ability, if not necessarily the experience, to lead maths within the school
• Build strong relationships with the rest of the school’s SLT and SMT team
• Support the aims and objectives of the school and be responsible for specific policies, related to maths, so that these aims can be achieved
• Effectively manage staff and resources to support maths teaching
• Engage in personal research and learning to develop their own knowledge

Shortlisting will take place: Wednesday 14th October 2026

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a lesson observation, on Wednesday 21st October 2026, following which selected individuals will be progressed to a second interview day on Thursday 22nd October 2026.
