Start Date: September 2026

Salary: SO1, £34,434 - £36,363 (National pay review pending) 

Depending on qualification and experience. This is a permanent all year-round position. Full-time and part-time posts available. A secondment arrangement will  be considered.

Location: Our roles involve a mixture of office and home-based working (hybrid). St Edmund’s Nursery School, Washington Street,Bradford, BD8 9QW

An opportunity has arisen for a Tutor/Assessor to join our fantastic team at Birth to 19 Apprenticeship Academy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and assessment to students pursuing qualifications in Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant. The post will be to act as lead tutor on the Level 3 SEND Teaching Assistant, however there will be the opportunity to contribute to our Early Years and Teacher apprenticeships. This role involves planning and delivering lessons, assessing learners' progress, and providing support and guidance to ensure they achieve their full potential.

Main Duties & Objectives

This role involves planning and delivering lessons, assessing learners' progress, and providing support and guidance to ensure they achieve their full potential.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons to apprenticeship cohorts, especially Level 3 SEND.
  • Develop and utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles.
  • Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions to support students, addressing individual needs and learning goals.
  • Assess learners' work against awarding body standards and criteria.
    Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to support their learning and development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and assessments.
  • Ensure all teaching and assessment practices comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Participate in internal and external quality assurance activities.
    Keep up-to-date with developments in Education and incorporate best practices into teaching and assessment.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance teaching and assessment skills.
  • Participate in recruitment, delivery and development of courses and cohorts.
  • Plan, deliver and support Functional Skills sessions for learners who are working towards Maths and English qualifications.

General

  • To fully participate in company meetings and events as required.
  • To attend relevant training as and when required.
  • To positively represent Birth to 19 at events.
  • To contribute to the ongoing fundraising of the organisation as required.
  • Any other duties appropriate to the post and organisation.
