Salary: Band 5 SCP 5-6 £19,130 - £19,472 dependent on experience and qualifications (Annual full-time equivalent £25,989)

A fixed term contract to start September 2026 until 31st August 2027

Are you passionate about supporting children’s learning and development? Do you have experience working with children or an interest to develop skills in this area? Could you support children with SEND? We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our driven and passionate team. You will need to be hardworking, resilient and have the highest of expectations of our pupils as well as the ability to work as part of a flexible and happy team.

Duties include:

  • Taking groups and individuals for learning sessions across the primary age range.

  • Supporting special needs children, some of whom have severe and complex difficulties and may require intimate care.

  • Using your initiative.

  • Supporting class teachers within the classroom.

  • Preparing teaching resources.

A good level of literacy and numeracy is essential and previous experience of working with children is desirable. Empathy, a caring nature, and a positive attitude are equally important.
