Attendance and Engagement Mentor 

Salary: Band SO1, SCP 23 - 25

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team as an Attendance and Engagement Mentor - someone who will champion children, support families, and help ensure every pupil has the opportunity to flourish both in and beyond the classroom.

This is a highly relational role at the heart of our school community.

You will:

  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children and families;
  • Provide pastoral support for pupils who may be experiencing social, emotional or attendance challenges;
  • Deliver targeted mentoring and interventions to help children develop confidence, resilience and positive learning behaviours;
  • Work closely with families to identify and overcome barriers to attendance and engagement;
  • Monitor attendance and support pupils whose attendance gives cause for concern;
  • Help children feel safe, successful and excited about coming to school;
  • Work alongside teachers, leaders and external agencies to ensure children receive the support they need;
  • Develop creative approaches and opportunities that strengthen children's sense of belonging and wellbeing.
