Sandy Lane is a warm and welcoming one and half form entry primary school situated on the outskirts of Bradford. Sandy Lane Primary is looking to employ a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to work in KS1.
Supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in Key Stage 1, this role involves working closely with teachers to help pupils access learning, develop social skills, and achieve their full potential. Responsibilities include planning and delivering tailored learning activities, providing one-to-one and small-group support, promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment, and assisting with pupils' personal, social, and emotional development. The role requires experience working with SEND children, strong communication skills, patience, and a commitment to supporting individual learning needs.
Key skills: SEND support, classroom assistance, behaviour management, lesson preparation, communication, teamwork, literacy, numeracy, ICT, safeguarding, and inclusive education.
