When our families walk into Ley Top Primary School, we want them to feel immediately welcome, important and confident in our team. Are you organised, welcoming, and passionate about supporting a vibrant school environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Office Administrator to join our friendly primary school team. You will play a key role in ensuring our school runs smoothly every day.

As our Office Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for children, parents, staff, and visitors. This is a varied and rewarding role in a busy school office, where no two days are the same! You’ll provide administrative support across the school, helping us deliver the very best experience for our children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcoming parents, children and visitors to the school
  • Managing phone calls, emails, and general enquiries
  • Supporting day-to-day administrative tasks, including attendance and children’s records
  • Assisting with communication, letters and school organisation
  • Coordinating meetings, appointments and school events
  • Providing essential support to senior leaders and teaching staff
  • Maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding procedures at all times

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident using IT systems(training provided where needed)
  • Calm under pressure and able to prioritise effectively
  • A positive team player with a commitment to our school community

Experience

Previous school office experience is essential. A background in administration, customer service, or reception work will also be considered. Most importantly, we’re looking for the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for supporting children and families..
