Worthinghead Primary School is looking to appoint a talented Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a dynamic role that offers incredible variety. You will be a vital part of our school community, supporting learning in the classroom, delivering targeted small-group interventions, and providing confident whole-class cover.

If you possess excellent classroom management skills and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same, we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds HLTA status (or possesses equivalent high-level classroom experience).

  • Has a genuine passion for working with children, supporting both their academic learning and overall wellbeing.

  • Brings experience with SEND, showing a proven ability to adapt learning to meet individual, diverse needs.

  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of child development and the primary curriculum.

  • Is proactive and highly organised, routinely using their initiative to drive classroom learning and lead interventions.

  • Is an exceptional communicator who can build positive, trusted relationships with pupils, staff, and parents alike.

  • Thrives as a team player, bringing flexibility and a commitment to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
