Post 1:

  • Hours: 28.75 hours per week
  • Working Pattern: 8:30am - 3:15pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch break
  • Salary: SCP5 (£16,658 - £16,956 per annum)
  • Contract: Fixed term until 31 August 2027

Post 2:

  • Hours: 18.75 hours per week
  • Working Pattern: 8:30am - 3:15pm, 3 days per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Salary: SCP5 (£10,864 - £11,058 per annum)
  • Contract: Fixed term until April 2027 (maternity cover)
  • Additional Duty: Includes 30 minutes of lunchtime supervision.

Vacancy Information

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join the school.

As a Teaching Assistant working in our school it’s essential that you:

  • Have a positive, caring and energetic "can-do" attitude.
  • Have experience of working successfully with children.
  • Be highly motivated in caring for vulnerable children.
  • Have the ability to provide feedback and support to help children make progress in their learning.
  • Have an understanding of safeguarding children.
  • Take a genuine interest in supporting children's development.

The Teaching Assistant's role is to:

  • Complement, support and appreciate the work of teachers and other professionals.
  • Undertake work, care and support programmes that enable access to learning as part of a teacher-planned approach.
  • Support the class teacher in managing pupils and delivering teaching and learning experiences.
  • Help provide an appropriately differentiated and suitably challenging curriculum for all pupils while meeting statutory requirements.
  • Work within school policies and procedures under the guidance and supervision of senior staff.
  • Carry out other duties appropriate to the grade and level of responsibility when required.
