Karmand Centre is recruiting Sessional Youth Leader and Support workers for its new youth club for young people living with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Neuro Diversity.
You will provide person-centered support, meaningful activities that promote fun, independence, wellbeing and inclusion. Workers will ensure that young people arrive and leave safely, undertaking needs assessment and plans, develop activities that involve and meet needs, capturing learning and outcomes, ensure all administrative duties are undertaken, manage conflict and personal needs of each young person. Most of all to ensure that young people have fun, learn and grow as individuals.
Applicants must have knowledge, experience, skills and abilities in youth work and work with people living with learning disabilities and neuro diversity, strong communication skills, experience with autism, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour is essential. Flexible working required.
