Vacancy Information

As a Key Stage Two Cover Supervisor based in Year 6, you will play a key role in ensuring continuity of learning across the school. Working under the guidance of senior staff and class teachers you will:

• Supervise and support whole classes during short-term teacher absence, maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement.
• Deliver agreed work programmes and learning activities, adapting resources to meet pupil needs.
• Assist with lesson planning, preparation and resource management, and transfer feedback to the class teacher.
• Support pupils with SEND and those needing additional care, following Individual Education Plans and personal care programmes where required.
• Undertake routine marking, record pupil progress, invigilate assessments and contribute to classroom administration.
• Support pupils’ personal development through positive reinforcement, promoting inclusion and respect for diversity.
• Occasionally supervise pupils before/after school, at lunchtimes and on visits or trips.

This role will require sensitivity to safeguarding concerns, a willingness to support pupils with a range of needs, and a readiness to contribute positively to our school ethos.
