Band 5 SCP 5-6 (depending on experience) Actual salary £18,831 to £19,130

32.5 hours per week, Term time only

8.15am to 3.15pm Monday to Friday

Riddlesden St Mary's is a forward thinking, innovative school with a strong and supportive team. We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking individual to join our School Office team as a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant.  

You will assist with the effective administrative & reception functions within school but will also work with our children both at lunchtimes and during our many Enrichment activities.

Vacancy Information

As a member of the School Office team, who are the first point of contact to all visitors, you must be professional, friendly and welcoming to all visitors, staff and pupils at all times. You must be organised and flexible in order to deal with the varied administrative and receptionist duties involved. We are a busy 2 form entry school so you will need to have the ability to keep calm, have good communication skills and be able to manage changing priorities effectively.  

You will also work with the children both at lunchtimes and at times during the day, assisting them with our varied Enrichment activities alongside another member of staff. 

This would ideally suit someone with previous School Office experience, but consideration will also be given to suitable candidates with similar experience in another setting.  

The successful candidate will:

  • Be able to demonstrate a high standard of verbal and written communicative skills and the ability to liaise confidently with all visitors to the school office and within school.
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team, prioritising their work effectively with the capacity to problem solve in a calm and professional manner
  • Be an excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills and a fluid and flexible approach and the ability to multi-task in a busy office
  • Have good ICT skills including Microsoft Office, Word & Excel. Experience of SIMs would be advantageous but is not essential as training can be given.
