Keighley St Andrew’s is an innovative, nurturing school with a strong and supportive team. We are looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant(s) who have the drive, relevant skills and commitment to improve outcomes for all children, whilst also ensuring that their wellbeing is at the forefront of everything that they do.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Resilience, patience, compassion and understanding.

  • An ability to build a positive relationships with pupils, promoting high self-esteem, independence and social inclusion

  • Skills to promote high standards of behaviour, responding to incidents in line with the school’s behaviour policy and guidelines on physical intervention

  • An ability to support pupils with their social, emotional and mental health needs, escalating concerns where appropriate

  • Ability to adapt learning to increase interaction

  • Be flexible, positive and have a ‘can-do; attitude

  • Have a minimum of NVQ level 2 for Teaching Assistants/GCSE Grade C Maths & English (or equivalent) or have good levels of literacy and numeracy

  • Have the ability to work as part of, and contribute to the school team
