We are seeking to appoint an experienced Learning Support Assistant to complement the professional work of teachers in providing effective high quality education for children at Stocks Lane Primary.

We need an adaptable and creative Learning Support Assistant to support us in achieving this goal.

The successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic, flexible individual showing professionalism at all times.  Working under the supervision of the class teacher; undertake structured and agreed activities and teaching programmes as appropriate to ensure physical, social, emotional and intellectual development, taking into account diversity e.g. language, culture, ability, race and religion.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Are ambitious and have high standards and expectations for all children.

  • Support pupils on a one to one basis, pairs and small groups with structured and agreed learning. activities/teaching programmes appropriate to their special educational needs.

  • Have some knowledge and understanding of the Autism Spectrum Condition and is able to interact effectively with pupils, showing a nurturing and patient approach.

  • Are passionate about inclusion and the promotion of equality and opportunities for all children.

  • Promote positive values, attitudes and good pupil behaviour and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own actions. 

  • Will participate in their own performance development, identify and address any training needs/other learning activities.
