We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team for a one-year maternity cover. You would be working under the supervision of our mainstream school SENCO/Assistant Head with a focus on the pupils within our Resourced Provision (RP) for autism. You will be working alongside a well-established team, including a full time Teacher of the Resourced Provision and an SEN Administrator. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about inclusion, with the ability to lead and inspire colleagues to meet the diverse needs of our learners.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with a thorough understanding of SEND.

  • Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination.

  • Be able to lead and manage provision for pupils with additional needs across school.

  • Work collaboratively with staff, families and external professionals to secure the best outcomes for all pupils.

  • Demonstrate strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
