School Business Manager

To start 1st September 2025

Salary: SO1 (SCP 23 to 25) – SO2 (SCP 26 – 27) £35,034 to £39,835 pro-rata, term time only

22.5 hours per week, 3 days per week (by negotiation)

Contract type: Permanent – subject to a 6 month probationary period

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding School Business Manager to join our friendly, ambitious, and nurturing School community.

We are looking for a highly skilled School Business Manager to join our leadership team at an exciting time of new beginnings. As both the Deputy Headteacher and School Business Manager will be new in post, we are looking for someone who will work collaboratively, strategically, and supportively to help shape the future of our school. You will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team, leading on finance, HR, premises, and compliance to ensure that our school continues to thrive.

Vacancy Information

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has proven experience of financial management, budget monitoring, health and safety and HR processes

  • Can work strategically and proactively, reporting to the Headteacher and Governors

  • Demonstrates exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • Is committed to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality, compliance, and safeguarding

  • Is able to manage competing demands calmly and professionally, prioritising their own workload

  • Will align with and contribute to the values and inclusive philosophy of our school
