High Crags Primary Leadership Academy, part of Star Academies, is looking to appoint an outstanding individual to promote excellent attendance in our school, ensuring learning opportunities are maximised. We want the best for all our children, to nurture and care for them and having an excellent attendance record at school contributes greatly to this goal. Working in partnership with parents, we can give pupils every chance of reaching their academic and social potential.

This role would ideally suit someone who has the experience of fostering relationships with families who face barriers bringing their children to school and you should have the ability to show empathy and understanding to support families to overcome these challenges.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a talented individual to provide an exceptional business support service to our pupils, teachers and wider stakeholders. As a key member of our school’s business support team, your expertise will help to deliver an outstanding learning environment for our young people.

The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and specialist technical skills. You will have extensive experience of delivering outstanding customer service and possess the ability to develop relationships across our school and the Star community.

You will have:

  • A-Levels or equivalent qualification relevant to the post such as social work, reaching or youth work.
  • Experience of working in a school in an attendance related service or general administration.
  • Experience of working with professionals from other agencies and in a multiagency context with a willingness to undertake travel as and when required.
  • The ability to use MS Office software packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as Explorer and databases.
  • The ability to prioritise, work efficiently and accurately, particularly under pressure, to deadlines and using own initiative.
