Level 2 Early Years Practitioner - Nursery Class

Full time, Fixed term (initially) until December 2025

8.45am - 3.30pm (30 hours per week), Term time only

Level 2, Pay Band - Scale 3, Point 6

We would love for you to join our GOOD Early Years setting. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Early Years Practitioner (Level 2) to work in Nursery as soon as possible.

To join our GOOD Nursery team in the first instance. 

Key Responsibilities:

Classroom Support:

• To assist the class teacher in the day to day running of the classroom: activities and classroom management.
• To undertake appropriate preparation of resources and the classroom. To engage in routines.
• To be an active and proactive member of the Nursery classroom.

Teaching & Learning:

• To deliver activities following guidance from the Class Teacher.
• To assess children against Development Matters.
• To recognise and identify next steps in learning.
• To take observations of children’s learning.

Other Duties:

• To be inclusive and interact with all children.
• To model a high standard of English.
• To support children’s individual needs e.g. toileting, speech & language and SEND.
• To be a part of the Early Years team.
• To build up relationships with parents.
• To engage in other events that may take place within school.

Requirements:

• GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths or an equivalent qualification (essential).
• A relevant Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
• Experience of working in Early Years (essential). Knowledge of the Early Years Curriculum (essential).
• First Aid qualification (desirable)
