L2 Teaching Assistant to Support Children with EHCP’s

20 hours per week, 9am – 1pm Monday to Friday, Term Time Only

Scale 3, SCP 5 – 6

The post is Fixed Term to 31 August 2025 (in the first instance) due to being externally funded by Education Health Care Plans for individual children.

We are looking for a temporary, Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with EHCPs.

The successful candidate will need to:
Have experience of supporting the individual needs of children.

• Be willing to support the wider work of the school.

• Be a well organised, friendly and flexible team player, with good interpersonal skills.

• Be committed to forging excellent relationships with pupils, staff, parents and other professionals.

• Have an interest/aptitude for facilitating inclusion.

• Be willing to undertake training relevant to the role and the needs of the child.

Priorities for the successful candidate will be:

• To recognise and respond to the individual needs of children with EHCPs whilst ensuring their safety and education in the learning environment.

• To establish constructive relationships with children and interact with them according to individual needs.

• To assist with the development and implementation of EHCPs (including meeting personal care, hygiene needs, and therapy and medical interventions needs, of the children)
