Play Worker

Hours of work will be 3.00pm to 5.30pm daily, Mon/Tues/Thurs 7.15am to 8.45am

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Play Worker to join our staff team from January 2025 (fixed term in the first instance).

St Luke’s C of E Primary School is a Good School. ‘There is a family feel at St Luke’s because everyone looks after each other. Pupils are happy and get on well together’ (Ofsted – January 2020).

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a calm, positive and confident manner

  • Interact with pupils to enhance the play opportunities offered

  • Act as a positive role model for children’s play activities

  • Manage, maintain and organise play equipment

  • Report incidents and accidents to the appropriate members of staff, ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils

  • Support and implement the school’s Culture, Relationships and Behaviour Policy

  • Be willing to undertake a first aid qualification
