It couldn’t be a more exciting time to join Parkside School which recently joined Wellspring Academy Trust when it was also awarded the title of Multi Academy Trust of the year. As such, we are now in the second year of an exciting journey in this new partnership and we are looking for a like-minded, enthusiastic staff member to join us. We require a full time Receptionist to be the front facing administrator in our new expanded team. The role of the receptionist is a crucial role in a large secondary school as is often the first point of call for visitors, phone calls and staff. As such we view this role as a vital member of the admin team.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, understands the working of the school, be competent on a phone switchboard and basic IT skills and aware of the importance of safeguarding others in this role. Experience in administration or working in a school would be an advantage but not essential as full induction training will be given.
As a continued improvement of the school environment the reception area is due for a total refurbishment in 2025. The successful candidate will be able to have in input into these significant upgrades to this space. As such, it is an exciting time to join the team!
Whilst the majority of the time will be spent working as a receptionist, there will be other general admin tasks to complete during the day to support the wider team.
We are looking for consistency in the role so the post is full time. However, there may be some flexibility around hours for a strong candidate. We are happy to have these discussion in advance of any applications or if called to interview.
The administration function at Parkside has been remodelled and the capacity increased to produce a more complete service for the school. This post would be the fourth new member of staff to join the newly shaped admin team. Therefore, this is an exciting opportunity to join a team and a school on the move!
