Idle CE(A) Primary School is a two-form entry primary school, situated in beautiful surroundings on the fringe of the city of Bradford. We are a Church school at the centre of our community and have a reputation for providing an all-round education where children are at the heart of everything we do, rooted in our Christian vision of “life in all its fullness” that Jesus came to give (John 10:10). 

The Governing Body of Idle C of E Primary School is welcoming applications for a highly experienced HLTA and Teaching Assistant with specific knowledge and experience in working with children with additional SEMH/SEND needs to join our inclusive and friendly school on the next stage of our journey.

The successful candidates will be highly motivated people who can work effectively together to meet SEMH/SEND needs of pupils within our school. They will hold high expectations for all children and believe in teaching and delivering a stimulating, creative curriculum which is effectively adapted to meet the specific needs of individuals on the SEND register with either EHCPs, EHCAs or MSPs for SEMH.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Are skilled at developing and maintaining positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Have experience working within Key Stage 2 in a primary setting
  • Have proven success at working with pupils on the SEND register for SEMH
  • Are dynamic, creative and proactive, modelling outstanding practice
  • Are committed to achieving success through partnership and team work
  • Have an ambition to make a difference for our pupils
  • Are able to enable pupils to achieve in line with specific SEND needs
  • Are professional and child-focussed
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Are keen to further their skills by accessing training and CPD
