Band 4/5 depending on experience Actual Salary: £19,054 - £20,022

Crossflatts Primary School is a two-form entry primary school with a Resourced Provision for Autism and a school Nursery.

We are looking for a Receptionist/Administrator who is friendly, resilient and enthusiastic to join our administration team. The individual is the face of our school and will possess a positive attitude, to be a professional and courteous contact for our families, children, staff and other visitors to school as the first point of contact welcoming our stakeholders to Crossflatts Primary School.  

We require someone who:

  • has a calm, positive and confident manner
  • Is dedicated in maintaining the efficient operation of the school office.
  • excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • has experience of working in a busy office environment
  • possesses a flexible approach to meet the ever-changing demands of a busy school environment
  • can work independently or as part of a team to ensure the highest delivery of service
  • is able to prioritise
  • has good keyboard skills and the ability to use a range of ICT software packages
  • has a good sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a team
  • has experience with SIMS/FMS/ParentPay or a willingness to learn school systems.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Front Desk Duties: Greeting visitors, parents, and students, and providing them with necessary information and assistance.
  • A half an hour lunch duty each day
  • First Aider (training will be provided)
  • Administrative Support: Assisting with data entry, filing, and maintaining student records.
  • Communication: Handling phone calls and emails, ensuring effective communication within the school community.
  • Attendance Monitoring: Tracking and recording student attendance and liaising with relevant staff.
  • General Office Tasks: Assisting with photocopying, distributing mail, and managing office supplies.
  • Compliance: Ensuring all safeguarding procedures are followed,
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Supporting staff and students as needed during busy periods.
  • Join school trips and visits as and when required.
