Vacancy Information

Do you believe in the transformative power of education?

We offer the time and support that ensures, together, we can shape futures.

Join our mission to inspire and empower students, making a lasting impact.

At Pivot we believe children deserve better. In our academies we teach and support children and young people who have been excluded from school, for whom mainstream education is simply not working, or those with an EHCP who require a specialist placement. Every day our teams do incredible work, making a huge difference to some complex and challenging children, many of whom come to us with traumatic backgrounds.

The Pivot Academy Kirklees offers a therapeutic nurture provision for learners with complex social, emotional, mental health and other associated needs, for learners in Key Stages 2 - 4. We recognise each of our learners as unique with different experiences and offer a pathway to reflect their individual needs and support success.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and resilient Pastoral and Welfare Lead to join our senior leadership team across both our lower and upper Kirklees provisions.

This is a key role across both provisions in leading on behaviour and attendance. The ideal candidate will be able to motivate the pastoral team, ensuring that a consistent approach is taken to pastoral and welfare support and clear routines, expectations and protocols are in place. Experience in a similar leadership position and in developing initiatives, managing change and generating enthusiasm for new ideas is essential to the role.

Working at Pivot will give you a real chance to change our learner’s lives and we truly believe you will find working here a rewarding experience.

To apply, please visit our website at www.pivot-group.uk to download and complete an application form.

Closing Date: 12 noon, 31st May 2024

We are committed to safeguarding our young people and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure Barring Service check and appropriate referencing.

During the shortlisting process, Pivot will carry out an online search on shortlisted candidates as part of its due diligence.
