Personal Assistant (PA) to the Headteacher

Required as soon as possible

37 hours per week, Term Time Only plus 10 days – (5 training days and 5 additional days to be agreed)

Band 8 (NJC Point 17 to 22)

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic, dedicated and highly motivated Personal Assistant to the Headteacher, to join our thriving and forward thinking school.  The permanent, full-time post will involve providing confidential secretarial support to the Headteacher as well as being involved in the administrative running of the school.

The Headteacher’s Personal Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Acting as the first line of contact for the Headteacher
  • Diary management
  • Taking a lead role in the recruitment and induction of new staff
  • Providing an effective and efficient comprehensive administrative service, including the full range of administrative duties
  • Creating and maintaining manual/electronic filing and information systems
  • Inputting and collating data (attendance, assessment and pupil data)
  • Undertaking typing, word-processing and IT based tasks (letters, memos, minutes etc.), some of which may be highly confidential and sensitive in nature
  • Maintaining the Single Central Record (SCR)

  • Has outstanding interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamwork
  • Has excellent IT skills, including experience of using Microsoft Office software
  • Has an enthusiastic, confident and positive manner
