Canterbury Nursery School is an outstanding, inclusive school based in the heart of the Canterbury estate in Bradford, West Yorkshire. We have an integrated specialist provision for children with SEND. We welcome all children and their families sensitively and positively. Each child is important to us and our dedicated team of staff work hard to provide the highest quality education alongside bespoke support for parents and carers so that every child can make accelerated progress in all areas of their learning.

We are looking to appoint 2 x Fixed Term Early Years Practitioners who will enjoy the challenge of working with our children, including those with SEND and some of the most disadvantaged families in Bradford.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of early child development and the early years framework and are able to implement this to the highest standard.
  • Promote inclusion and provide equal opportunities for all.
  • Work well as part of a team and under their own initiative.
  • Be a positive presence and a strong role model for all pupils and colleagues.
  • Demonstrate high quality interactions with children which promote progress in learning and development.
  • Have a good sense of humour and be personally resilient.

Caveat: Any applicants who are not appointed for the Practitioner roles, may be considered for a Support Worker position at our school.
