Post 3: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 3:30pm, 32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only

Vacancy Information

At Abbey Green Nursery School we provide care and education for children from 3 months to 5 years.  We have a highly experienced, professional staff team across the organisation. We provide designated Early Years Enhanced Specialist Provision, supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to achieve the very best they can.  We have various positions available. 

These posts will be supporting children within the 3-5 years enhanced specialist provision.  You will support the teacher with planning and environment preparation and act as a key person. You will have a good understanding of the plan, do, review approach and be knowledgeable in the use of a variety of communication methods, such as Makaton and PECS.

The right candidates will;

  • Have an understanding of how to enable young children to make the very best progress they can, including children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities
  • Have the ability to build trust and strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Be able to work as a member of a team to support children and their families
  • Provide and maintain stimulating learning environments for children both indoors and outdoors
  • Have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and contribute to planning the curriculum
  • Have knowledge and experience of working with children with SEND
  • Be flexible, adaptable and professional at all times
