Midland Road Nursery School
At Midland Road Nursery School we provide care and education for children from 3 months to 5 years. We are an outstanding nursery school, with a highly experienced staff team across the organisation. We provide designated Early Years Enhanced Specialist Provision, supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to achieve the very best they can.
This post will be based in our 2-3 years provision. You will support the room leaders with the classroom environment and act as a key person. You will have strong interaction skills and feel confident to support children in their educational, physical, sensory and personal development. You will be knowledgeable in intensive interaction techniques and hold a suitable Level 2 qualification
The successful applicants will play an important role, working with colleagues to support children’s progress. They will be joining a team of knowledgeable, hardworking and highly motivated practitioners and will support them in ensuring high quality nursery provision.
The right candidates will;
- Have an understanding of how to enable young children to make the very best progress they can, including children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities
- Have the ability to build trust and strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues
- Be able to work as a member of a team to support children and their families
- Provide and maintain stimulating learning environments for children both indoors and outdoors
- Have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and contribute to planning the curriculum
- Have knowledge and experience of working with children with SEND
- Be flexible, adaptable and professional at all times
