Northern Star Academies Trust are searching for a Director of Governance and Corporate Affairs who will deliver a culture of excellent governance, communication, and compliance across our Multi Academy Trust Partnership.
Vacancy Information
As part of our trust leadership team, you will contribute to organisation-wide strategic planning and work closely with the Chair, the Board and CEO to ensure effective governance systems. This pivotal position will also encompass providing a robust company secretarial role, overseeing the trust’s policy framework, compliance and data protection assurance, and support with business continuity, risk management and organisational planning across the trust partnership.
The new Director of Governance and Corporate Affairs must possess exceptional communication and organisational skills, ideally with experience of delivering streamlined governance services and structures. We are looking for someone who is a strategic thinker with an eye for detail and the ability to thrive in an education environment. They must also bring a strong sense of ethics and share the values of the Trust.

We are proud to be a thriving and diverse partnership of nine primary and secondary schools serving the communities of Bradford and Keighley (West Yorkshire) and Skipton, Craven and Harrogate (North Yorkshire). During this academic year, our trust is about to experience significant growth as we welcome up to seven new schools, therefore becoming a Trust of sixteen schools by September 2024.
