We’re looking for a SEND Teacher to join our team at Co-op Academy Southfield (a 11-19 Special School) and have extended the closing date for our recruitment campaign.

The successful candidate will;

  • plan, implement and deliver an appropriate and differentiated curriculum for all students and support a designated curriculum area as appropriate;
  • be able to demonstrate a successful teaching experience with pupils with a wide range of SEN;
  • be able to demonstrate experience of planning and presenting a differentiated curriculum and have experience of and a willingness to train in communication approaches to curriculum access.

In addition, the successful candidate may have TLR responsibilities in Teaching and Learning; which is to lead, manage and develop the curriculum;

  • To plan, implement and deliver an appropriate and differentiated curriculum for all pupils.
  • To contribute to raising standards of pupil attainment.
  • To monitor and assess pupil progress to improve their quality of learning and personal growth.
  • To be responsible for whole school development of teaching & learning including whole school assessment
  • To report to the senior team on the progress of teaching and learning across school
  • To undertake the professional duties outlined above by having regard to national standards published from time to time by subject and other national bodies.
