Vacancy Information

St John’s are looking for an experienced key stage 1 teacher with responsibility for a core subject and to be part of the senior leadership team. This will be a class-based role with suitable release time to perform leadership duties, and work with the Head of School on teaching and learning. 

This appointment offers a fantastic opportunity for a new leader to undertake a strategic role in our fantastic school and take it to the next stage on our journey to outstanding. We are committed to staff and pupil wellbeing and provide opportunities for CPD, cross school collaboration and partnership within our Trust Schools. 

 The successful candidate will be: 

  • Committed to the Catholic faith and mission of our School. 
  • An outstanding teacher with a record of raising standards of teaching and learning, leading to improved achievement and attainment. 
  • A teacher with a clear vision, focused on raising achievements and standards through a wide variety of teaching and learning experiences. 
  • Able to take a lead on developing the quality of education by supporting subject leads to devise a progressive and cohesive knowledge rich curriculum that is ambitious for all our children. 
  • Have high expectations of themselves, colleagues and pupils and is unrelenting in their pursuit of excellence. 
  • Has a thorough understanding of phonics and early reading strategies  
  • Has experience of successfully supporting Ofsted.
