Rewarding new opportunities to make a difference to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities across the Bradford District.
Bradford Council is continuing to expand the provision it makes for children and young people with SEND across Bradford District. We have established a number of Specialist Resourced Provisions co-located in mainstream schools with places for children and young people with Communication and Interaction Needs (including Autism) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).
We are seeking to recruit a number of exceptional, experienced Communication and Interaction and SEMH HLTAs to support our children and young people in these resourced provisions based in primary and secondary schools across the district.
The staff in the resourced provision’s team are centrally employed by Bradford Council Children's Services and deployed to the provision based on their experience, skills, knowledge and expertise.
The successful candidate would have:
- Accreditation as an HLTA; HLTA status or relevant level 3 qualifications or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working within an educational setting with pupils with SEND particularly ASD and/or SEMH, with an age range of children appropriate to the role i.e. statutory school age
- Experience of the EHCP process including supporting with the annual review process and planning activities to meet the needs and outcomes of children with an EHCP with the needs of communication and interaction including autism and/or SEMH
- Experience of assessment, planning, preparation and delivering learning
- Experience of supporting and delivering interventions or programmes of work for pupils with communication and interaction needs and/or SEMH
