Abbey Green Nursery School

At Abbey Green Nursery School we provide care and education for children from 2 to 5 years.  We have a highly experienced, professional staff team across the organisation.  We provide designated Early Years Enhanced Specialist Provision, supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to achieve the very best they can.  We have various positions available. 

Level 2 Early Years Support Worker Band 5 – Temporary until 31/08/23

20 hrs, Term Time Only - Monday to Friday. 11:30am to 3:30pm

OR

19.5 hrs, Term Time Only - Wednesday to Friday. 8:30am to 3:30pm

This post will be based in our 2-3 years provision. You will support the room leader to plan and prepare the environment and act as a key person.

Vacancy Information

The successful applicants will play an important role, working with colleagues to support children’s progress. They will be joining a team of knowledgeable, hardworking and highly motivated practitioners and will support them in ensuring high quality nursery provision. 

The right candidates will;

  • Have an understanding of how to enable young children to make the very best progress they can, including children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities
  • Have the ability to build trust and strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • Be able to work as a member of a team to support children and their families
  • Provide and maintain stimulating learning environments for children both indoors and outdoors
  • Have knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and contribute to planning the curriculum
  • Have knowledge and experience of working with children with SEND
  • Be flexible, adaptable and professional at all times
