The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

We are seeking to recruit to our team of Teachers of the Deaf and other professionals working with Deaf children across the Low Incidence Team within the Local Authority led Resourced Provisions (LARPs).

You will work as part of the team to support the Lead Teacher in leading the team of Teachers of the Deaf and specialist staff to contribute to the effective and efficient teaching and learning for Deaf pupils at Hanson Local Authority led Resourced Provision and will:

  • Support the lead teacher in ensuring that a cohesive, flexible and responsive service is able to deliver efficient and effective outcomes to meet the individual needs of all pupils for whom the service has responsibility in the resourced provision
  • Deputise for the lead teacher, demonstrate outstanding teaching and learning and support others to deliver outstanding teaching and learning for deaf children and young people
  • Work with the lead teacher to support the leadership of the planning, delivery, development, organisation and evaluation of the resourced provision, ensuring pupils individual needs are met and supporting the Attachment Aware and Trauma Informed approach across the Resourced Provision
