Idle C E Primary School is a vibrant, inclusive and family orientated school with a strong Christian Ethos.
We are looking to appoint experienced Special Educational Needs Support Assistants (SENSA) to support children who have Special Educational Needs and either have an Education Health and Care Plan or for whom we are seeking an Education Health and Care Plan . These are fixed term positions as funding is linked to the individual children.
We are looking to appoint staff on fixed term, term time only contracts. The range of pay is Band 5, points 4-6 which is currently between £10.16 to £10.57 per hour.
Vacancy Information
Post 1: 31.25 hours per week, term time only. This post will support a child with Autism who is transitioning into school in combination with ABA. The successful individual will support a five year old child in Reception to work on his learning targets using ABA approach. Support will be provided from an ABA Supervisor and Consultant and 27 hours of certified training will be provided. There will also be the opportunity to work closely with a speech and language therapist. Fixed Term to Aug 2023 in the first instance.
Post 2: 20 hours per week, term time only Fixed Term to 31st March 2023in the first instance.
We are looking for candidates who are:
- Kind, supportive and patient when supporting children with behavioural and learning difficulties.
- Have relevant skills and experience working with children with Downs Syndrome, Autism or other Communication and Interaction difficulties including children who may use pre-verbal communication
- Able to assist with personal hygiene.
- Keen to further their skills by accessing training and CPD
- Can work effectively as part of a team.
- Able to be work as part of a team to set targets, monitor progress and evaluate processes.
