Vacancy Information

Beech Hill School is an inclusive three form entry school where we believe that every child matters. There is a driving determination to ensure that pupils and adults in the school reach their full potential. At the heart of the school is our commitment to work in partnership with parents, carers and the local community to raise aspirations for all and to provide a high quality education for every child.

Dean Field School is vibrant one form entry primary school at the heart of the Ovenden community. At Dean Field expectations are high and there is a relentless focus on improving the quality of education to ensure each and every child is able to maximise their potential and have their life chances significantly enhanced.  We are extremely proud of the fact that we are a school at the heart of the community. We believe strongly in a healthy partnership between the home and the school; which will unlock each child’s full potential.  Our recent Ofsted rating of “Good” (April 2022) demonstrates this commitment and we are looking for likeminded colleagues to join our schools and Trust.

Experience working in a school, medical or care setting with children who have SEND needs, ideally supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or children who have significant medical and mobility needs would be an advantage due to the variety of support required and the complex demand of the pupils’ needs.  Previous knowledge of manual handling would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given. The ability to implement strategies that enable pupils to expand their independent learning and social development is necessary.  Applicants should be caring, patient, calm under pressure, resilient, able to use their initiative, have excellent team working skills and be enthusiastic about providing outstanding care and education for our pupils.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Relate well to children
  • Are able to work as part of a team
  • Are enthusiastic, caring and self-motivated
  • Have a positive approach
  • Can use their initiative

In return, we offer a benefit package that includes:

  • An Employee Assistance Programme, offering support and access to resources to help you maintain a healthy work life balance
  • Commitment to professional development for all staff recognised through our recent Investors in People awards
  • Free refreshments available in the staff room
