Early Years Practitioner

33.5 hours a week, Term Time Only + 5 days – this is a permanent position

Band 6, SCP 6 – 11, £20,043 - £22,129 (full time equivalent)

To start in September 2022

Required for September 2022 an enthusiastic, imaginative, committed and excellent Early Years Practitioner to work in this popular, successful and forward thinking school.

This exciting post will be, in the first instance, Reception Class.

Vacancy Information

We are looking to appoint a well organised, experienced Early Years Practitioner who is energetic, professional, flexible and positive with an NNEB qualification, Level 3 NVQ in Early Years Care and Education (or equivalent).

The person we are looking for must have:

  • High standards of English and Maths (minimum GCSE ‘C’ grade or equivalent)
  • A flexible approach and the ability to use their own initiative
  • A commitment to helping each child fulfil their potential
  • The ability to work successfully as a team
  • Good communication and ICT skills
  • A good sense of humour
  • A calm, positive and confident manner
  • Good organisational skills and be self-motivated with high expectations
  • The ability to liaise with external agencies
  • Experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum
  • An awareness of safeguarding issues
  • A commitment to the full life and ethos of a Church School
  • The ability to create ‘practical magic’ with our children
