Deputy Headteacher

Required for September 2022 or as soon as possible after this date.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and creative Deputy Headteacher, who will support the Headteacher in providing professional leadership, striving for outstanding achievements and continuous improvement, ensuring high quality education for all children. The Deputy Headteacher will lead on Inclusion and will be the designated SENDCo having the strategic leadership of Inclusion across school.

We would ideally like to appoint a Deputy Headteacher from the beginning of the Autumn term 2022, however, we would be willing to wait until January 2023 for the right candidate.

Vacancy Information

The school would like to appoint a deputy headteacher who:

  • Has a commitment to inclusive education for all
  • Has a commitment to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, governors and outside agencies within the SENDCo role
  • Is an exemplary classroom teacher with ambitious aspirations for all children and who can motivate and inspire every child to reach their full potential (the role will involve a part time teaching commitment)
  • Has excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills plus the ability to lead, motivate and inspire others
  • Has proven leadership and management experience in core areas of the curriculum and experiences in EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Is innovative and creative in their approach to all areas of school life
  • Is enthusiastic in their approach to driving change • Can skilfully promote the school, working confidently with parents, carers and the wider community
