Level 3 Early Years Practitioner

Band 6/7, Fixed term from 1st September 2022 to 31st March 2023

21 hours a week term time only+ 4days. 8.30am-12.30pm Monday to Friday plus planning meeting on a Wednesday 3.30-4.30

We have an exciting opportunity in our growing 3-5 year old early years inclusive provision. At Strong Close Nursery School we provide care and education for children from 2 to 5 years.  We have a highly experienced staff team, as well as a designated Specialist Early Years Resourced Provision.

Vacancy Information

The right candidates will:-

  • Have an understanding of how to enable young children to learn, including those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities
  • Act as a key person for children, liaise with parent/carers and maintain their records on our electronic assessment system.
  • Be able to work as a member of a team to support children and their families
  • Have a strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and contribute to planning the curriculum
  • Have experience of working with children aged 2-5 years
  • An excitement and proactive, positive approach to supporting children’s learning and development
  • Provide and maintain stimulating learning environments for children both indoors and outdoors
  • The ability to cover in class for the room leader when they are in meetings or on release time
  • A commitment to providing the right support to the most vulnerable children by contributing to support plans
  • Substantial knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum and how to plan for and extend children’s interests to enhance their learning through project work and schema
