Salary: MPS or UPS depending on experience

Carrwood is a highly inclusive and welcoming school at the heart of its community; we currently wish to appoint a highly motivated, experienced and inspirational teacher to join our EYFS team.  This is a temporary post to cover maternity, the post-holder will work in Reception to accelerate learning and reach the highest possible outcomes for our children.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner.
  • Have a knowledge and understanding of the Early Years curriculum & the teaching of phonics.
  • Have high expectations of behaviour.
  • Be prepared to work flexibly as part of a close-knit team.
  • Be able to challenge children and have high expectations.

Advanced Threshold Level

The post holder should demonstrate they can:

  • Express themselves fluently and spontaneously at length effortlessly.
  • Explain difficult concepts simply without hindering the natural smooth flow of language.
  • Take responsibility for promoting high standards of literacy, articulacy and the correct use of standard English in School.
