Fixed Term - Part Time
This is an exciting and creative opportunity to support the facilitators of 9 Intergenerational Linking Programmes across England linking care homes and young people aged 5-14 years old in schools and youth organisations. The post holder will have primary or secondary teaching experience. The successful applicant will become part of the nurturing teams at The Linking Network and My Home Life who are seeking to work together to make a difference.
The Linking Network supports schools and local authorities to create high quality links between schools and communities. We do this by providing training, classroom resources and guidance.

The Advisory Teacher (0.6) will be employed by The Linking Network in Bradford and will deliver the Care Home Friends and Neighbours: Intergenerational Linking Programme, in partnership with My Home Life England in London. This initiative is part of the #iwill Campaign (https://www.iwill.org.uk/). The post holder will have responsibility for supporting programme leads in 9 local areas in England who are connecting 5-14 year olds in primary and secondary schools and community youth organisations with their local care homes. This work has been established over the last two years. This is a very exciting and creative role that will enhance children and young people’s active citizenship and leadership skills, as well as make a real difference to the lives of older people living in care homes. The post holder will work in close partnership with a colleague from My Home Life England (http://myhomelife.org.uk/), who will bring prior experience of working with Care Home FaNs (http://carehomefans.org/).
