An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Cottingley Village Primary School and The Maples Resourced Provision. We opened our Resourced Provision in April 2018 our provision prides itself on meeting the very complex needs of children who have Social, emotional and mental health needs due to trauma and / or abuse.

We are looking for a Class Teacher who is passionate about educating children with SEMH needs.

We work in strong partnership with all the schools within our trust and across the city.  We are fully committed to the professional growth of all colleagues.

Experience, knowledge and/or has passion for teaching pupils with SEMH needs would be an advantage. You will be joining an experienced team who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in supporting our children’s needs.

We are interested in hearing from people who:

  • Are inspirational and passionate teachers, with a track record or ambition, of raising standards across the primary phase
  • Are creative, imaginative, committed and passionate about learning and ensuring high quality SEMH provision for all
  • Can work well as part of a team and has confidence to be able to lead and direct a team of support staff
  • Have a commitment to working with children who require excellence in all that we do to ensure they thrive
  • Have a detailed understanding of effective positive behaviour management techniques.
  • Have an understanding of attachment and Adverse Childhood Experiences.
